Dan Lewis

Dan Lewis is a poet residing in Worcester, Massachusetts. While his true vocation is poetry, over the years he has made his living as a retail clerk, milk tester, wire stripper, fish cutter, librarian, typist, freelance editor, and technical writer. He considers himself fortunate to live in central Massachusetts where there is a vibrant arts community and the support of writers and poets of all stripes. There are also many fine hiking trails through the woods and ponds that abound in the area. A longtime board member of the Worcester County Poetry Association, he was for many years the layout editor of The Worcester Review and the creator of numerous broadsides celebrating the work of visiting poets. Currently he is part of a collaborative of four poets and four visual artists who are exploring connections to one another's work. He is the author of a full-length poetry collection, This Garden, published by Lulu.com, and two chapbooks, Tickets for the Broken Year, published by Naissance Press and Iconospheres, published by Lulu.com. Lloyd Schwartz selected his poem, "Windraker" as winner of the 2012 Frank O'Hara Prize. His work has appeared in numerous journals. Dan lives on the shore of Patch Reservoir with his wife, Ann, and no cats.

Oh, and against his better judgement he has started a blog: danlewispoetry.wordpress.com. You can also view his Poets & Writers listing here.
