The elevation here is around 2500+ feet above sea level.  There is one way in and one way out. Highway 9 !  The highest mountain in the eastern USA, ( Mt. Mitchell ) is just about 10 miles to the North of us. I'm 53 years old, and a machinist    (CnC Operator). Been at it over thirty years now. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>      I've been fooling with radios, since the early 70's.  First started out in my Dad's car; then had a mobile radio,on a power supply  and 1/4 wave ground plane antenna.Then slowly progressed up from there. I joined the Alfa Tango group in June of 1993, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have managed to confirm  222 divisions, and to make many friends around the world.   I hope to work you soon, and add you to my list.   </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>      Some of my hobbies are; of course Radios ( 11 meters), </B></div> <div> <B>coin collecting, computers, and mountain biking. Lots of nice bicycle & hiking trails in the area.  So come for a visit.
