The Surviving Big Boys.

There are currently eight Big Boys still in existence. They are located in the following cities.

Pomona, CA.

St. Louis, MO.

Dallas, TX.  Big Boy 4018 is on Display Here.

Omaha, NE.

Denver, CO. The Big Boy here is located at the Forney Museum of Transportation

Scranton, PA. Big Boy 4012 is Located at Steam Town National Park

Green Bay, WI. Big Boy 4017 is Located at the National Railroad Museum

Cheyenne, WY. Big Boy 4004 is Located in Holliday Park

  It is my understanding that the best one to see is the one located in Cheyenne, WY. It is the most well preserved and is located near the Union Pacific yard there. So not only will you be able to see the Big Boy, you will also have a chance to see some more modern engines as they perform their daily tasks.
