Annie Bertha Bowring

Obituary: Annie Bertha Bowring Welling
by Deanna Welling Packer

The family reverently rejoices over heavenly reunions. Our 94 year old Love left this world on June 25, 2000 to join her
husband, L. Darrell Welling, and parents, John Franklin Bowring and Edith Ann Midgley.
She was born in Brigham City, Utah on Jan. 3, 1906. Her children, Duane B. (Carla), Gene B. (Carol Lee), DeAnna Packer (R.
Dee), Harold B. (Sally); and sister, Irma Richard-son, survive her. Her loving influence will remain with 23 grandchildren and
53 great-grandchildren.
A life filled to over-flowing with service marked Mother's path. She served with her husband presiding over the Northern
States Mission, and in ward and stake leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including that of a
Seminary principal, temple worker, drama director, teacher and genealogical guide. Her alto voice contributed to many choirs
including the Tabernacle Choir, yet she never forgot her highest calling--that of wife and mother, friend and neighbor. Her life
was one continual round of rhyme and song.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Capitol Hill Ward Chapel, 24 West 400 North, Salt
Lake City, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main,
Bountiful; and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Brigham City
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you take your sweetheart to dinner.
