But I GOT A CHEESEBURGER SO WATEVR!!! Me encantan hamberguesas con queso!!!!!!!! Daniel hablaba a Ralph en el gran telefono blanco. El vomitaba todo el noche.BBBBBBLLLLLEEEEEHHHHH! Es todo lo que yo escuchaba. July 26, 2006:
Well we
went to Bahia, the “Ecocity” a.k.a: city that TRIES to recycle but
still has major trash issues. We stayed
at a hotel that was a zoo (my mom tried to cover this up by saying “It
has a lot of animals” but that is an understatement -- if this is a lot then
2 would be many. The guy musta’ had 200 animals!) Anyway it was still pretty
cool. Then we headed out to Rio Muachacho where we ate this vegetarian food
(aka rice, beans and some other weird stuff). And in the cabin, bats would
fly in and out during the night. But the actual farm was pretty cool. Now we
are back in Quito THE CITY OF POLLUTION. July 15,
2006:Makapakukak
Wednesday
we left for makipakunak (something like that) where we stayed in EXTREMELY rustic
cabin with bugs ther size of your fist that tried to sleep with Daniel, and
cockroaches who tried to brush their teeth with our toothbrushes. Then there
was this spider that was the size of your head. Now we are in this zoo hotel place and we had to take a garbage
tour. While we were watching the garbage, a guy came by with chicken guts and
put them in the “inorganic” bin. No me
gustan insectos. Ellos duermen en mi cama. Ellos se esconden en mi bano. NO
ME GUSTAN! Hoy nosotros caminamos en Bahia. No me gusta caminar. Yo nade en
la bahia. No me gusta Daniel porque
el me empujo en la bahia. July 11, 2006: ESPN en
Espanol
Today
we rode up this Telefonic thing (cable car to 13000ft on a ridge overlooking
Quito). Then we went for a walk in the park.We saw this kid who was like 2 or
3 and he came over and was pointing at my dad’s blackberry; at first we
thought he was homeless and we were like “Tienes una mama? Donde esta tu
mama?” But he didn’t understand us. Then he left and wandered around for a while
then returned to a fruit stand thingy so we figured he must belong to them.
Then we took 2 taxi rides to a cheeseburger, where upon our arrival I got a
bad stomach ache and spent the whole time in the bathroom (I won’t go into
details). I was better when the burger came except I’m still not feeling
great so I couldn’t eat one! I STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN MY CHHEESEBURGER! And I
had to sit and watch everyone else sink their teeth into juicy cheeseburgers!
Now we found the all star game on ESPN en espanol so I’m watching that. GO
A.L! Yo
estoy mirando el juego de las estrellas. El programa es en espanol. Hay
muchos jugadores hispanicos. Yo quiero que la liga americana gane el partido.
(Maggie no ha aprendido el subjunctivo, pero recibio ayuda de sus padres). July 4, 2006: For a
cheeseburger
This
entry is for a cheeseburger. The best cheeseburger south of the Rio Grande my
grandfather says. The bad part is it has to be in Spanish so sorry if you
can’t read Spanish. But first im going to tell you what happened. My mom and
dad went to this market and bought some fruit. It turns out that this fruit
always has worms in it. My dad ate it. GROSS!! So did this other kid. The worms were small but you could see
them. Apparently these worms are “good” for you. No me
gustan gusanos. A mi papa le gustan gusanos. Le encantan. El come muchos
gusanos en la fruta. Yo creo que gusanos son malos. BLEHHHHHH!! Yo voy a ir a
San Antonio esta tarde. Despues, nosotros vamos a comer pastel por el 4 de
julio. YAAA!! Yo queiro nadar en una
piscina porque hace mucho calor aqui! July 2, 2006: One week
It’s
been over one week since we got here and I still haven’t gotten my
cheeseburger. I’ve been treated to all kinds of meat, potatoes, salad and ice
cream but not a cheeseburger. Today was freezing cold and we went for a walk and it was boring.
Afterward, we had a lunch of chicken that the family we’re staying with
killled and cooked. Yesterday
we went shopping at the market, and
it was fun. I got a llama wool blanket and it’s really soft. Me and my dad
made up a shopping song and it goes something like this: “Theres a llama on
my cama doo doo doo!” So because we went to the market yesterday I had to
walk like 5 miles and today I walked like a mile so I’m really tired. That’s
all for now. P.S. my
dad will be putting pictures of the chicken on his site so look if u dare but
its sorta gross. June 28, 2006: Uhhh…
Watever
Okay so yesterday was, well its hurting me to say
this, actually sorta fun. We had to take this train thing to this town thing
and we had to ride on this roof thing and I got hit with this branch thing
then we went through these tunnel things then there was this really scary
bridge thing (I think it was scary -- I closed my eyes). So, we were riding
on the roof thing on the train thing and my butt was really hurting (so would
yours if you were sitting on the roof of a train for an hour and a half). So
then we took this bus thing to a house thing and we hiked up to two
waterfalls and then I had to stand under the waterfall. Boy that was a nice
little natural massage!
Today was back to normal a.k.a. boring so there’s
really nothing to say about today except that for lunch we had tuna noodle
wiggle -- that’s what my dad calls it. It really wasn’t that bad; better than
it sounds.
June 26, 2006: Internet
Café
Okay so today was oh what is the word again oh yeah
BORING - I had to sit in classes ALL day and it is summer so what the heck, I
mean isn’t summer for FUN? Okay so (this
is for all my readers) the POSITIVE side of the day (my mom made me put this
in -- it’s pointless because my father
does the positive side of things and my job is the un-positive side of
things, a.k.a. the TRUTH) so um… well I ate and I slept and umm… that’s about
all that was positive. So back to the TRUTH… I’m stuck in Spanish class. I mean what the heck! So
today I had to learn the alphabet! The ALPHABET I learned that last
September! And I thought this was going to be fun. Well I’m really tired so
I’ll write more later.
June 24, 2006: Hotel
Room
Well we got here okay. The plane was late.
And I was really tired and I wanted to watch the movie (King Kong) but I
stopped half way through. Then they served us yucky lasagna and yummy
salad. So we landed and went through
customs and stuff and we got to the exit and there wasn’t a cab or anything
for us! Then we had to end up taking the airport van. And there weren’t any
seatbelts! By the time we got to the hotel my dad was bragging about how he
had conversed in Spanish to all the people so far. When we got to the hotel
he tried again but I think the lady knew he wasn’t from around here because
she responded in English. Now we are going to go for a walk or maybe even a Taxi ride (My Parents: OH
NO!! Me: YES!) to go to a museum (UGHG) So I HAVE to go now! Bye! June 23, 2006:
SO I’m
in the airport now and you’re probably wondering did I get my cheeseburger
well the answer is NO because the stupid |
