Advanced Choir and Chamber Choir Bring Home the Gold!!
March 20-24, 2002, the Advanced and Chamber Choirs participated in a national choral festival in Orlando, Florida. A distinguished panel of national-level adjudicators awarded both choirs a gold rating (the equivalent of "distinguished" in Kentucky). The Chamber Choir was ranked as the top choir at the festival and in addition, received the Adjudicators' Award for earning scores in the top 5%.

Based on their scores and "gold" ranking, both choirs have earned an invitation to compete at the Festival of Gold in Chicago, March 2003. This festival is only open to those choirs who have earned a gold ranking in 2002 and is limited to the top 25 applicants from around the United States and Canada. It is a privilege and honor to participate in this festival. Internationally renowned adjudicators and clinicians will work with the choirs several times throughout the festival, culminating in a final concert performance including an honor choir, massed choir and the top competitors from the weekend's performances.
