I hate the heat.

Today we had an assembly in the field house. It was very, vrey, hot in there. And I got an award... for perfect attendence. Bah. Well, I suppose it was better than the sp.ed. awards, like "best effort in wood shop" or "most improved in humanities", but still...

On top of that, they took so long they had to delay the buses for 15+ minutes, so we were in the stiflingly hot field house for over 75 minutes. I hate heat. I had forgotten about that annoying trait of summer - hot. heat.

And then of course, sunburn. I think I got mildly sunburned from the HOUR I spent outside for gym yesterday. Curse my fair Irish relatives... why couldn't I be black?

Of course, if I was black, I would be hotter in the sun, with the whole "reflect less light" thing. So maybe I would rather not be black. But could I at least be a skin color that actually has color, so I wouldn't burn so easily? Sunburns hurt!

This heat is just too much. It feels oppressive. I have a hard time doing *anything*, because the heat just saps my strength, motivation, willpower, all that crap. I just sort of sit down in the computer chair and my eyes glaze over.

Comments:
