HOPE OF RESURRECTIONS~~~~>>>
Hebrews 9:27 tells us, "It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment."
Salvation means being saved from something. Although it is appointed that all must die, there is a chance for everyone to be saved from permanent death by a resurrection, born again, each in his own order. (I Corinthians 15:23) God has a plan for these resurrections from death.
First, it is important to understand that there are different kinds of resurrections:
1) Jesus' resurrection which was, and always will be, unique, because He started as
spirit, became human, and was resurrected back to spirit. This is the only
example of a resurrection from human to spirit.
2) The resurrection of the rest of the firstfruits
from human to spirit, that follows, is called the first
resurrection.
3) The resurrection of human to human.
These could be called miracles. These
would be the resurrection of Lazarus (John 11:11-45), raising the widows only son
(Luke 7:11-15, Jairus's daughter (Mark 5:22-24 &
35-43), those that rose at Jesus' death
(Matthew 27:52), and Elijah raising up the widows only son
(I Kings 17:9-24) In these cases
their deaths, like ours, are called sleep, it is a sleep that knows nothing. (Ecclesiastes
9:5) There will also be such a resurrection after the millennium
reign of Christ, called the second resurrection.
4) The resurrection of the incorrigible
to a permanent death called the third resurrection.
All have a choice.
These resurrections will be at different times:The last thing conquered is death! I Corinthians 15:26 says, "The last enemy that will be destroyed is death."
By choosing to obey God, when He gives one understanding, a person can be resurrected to everlasting life. So, there is a great hope of becoming a child of God in His kingdom, for you, and yours!
