HOPE OF A CALLING~~~~>>>

A calling is a state of mind.  God the Father calls you by opening your mind.
God chooses the best time to open one's mind so that they will succeed in becoming His, enter His kingdom, and live forever in the family of God.
At creation God breathed into humans a spirit  that has an innate desire for God’s spiritual knowledge.  Many search for that knowledge, but they do not find it, because, to understand spiritual things one must have the Holy Spirit, the power that emanates from God!. (I Corinthians 2:14 & Romans 8:6-9)  How does this come about? A person must truly desire and thirst for righteousness, repent, and accept their calling by being baptized, and receiving His Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit gives a sound mind, and understanding, inwardly guiding them further into the way of God.
It is the desire of God to create a spiritual family.  This family will be formed from humans who were created in the image of God Himself.  Each, in his own time, will be called by God for this purpose.  God=s called out and chosen people have various names throughout the Bible.  They are called: The elect, the called out ones, first fruits, saints, My people, and His people.  In all cases the Lord, whom they obey, is their only God. They will say abba Father in His kingdom. (Galatians 4:6)  This is a great hope.
Calling and you.
All will have a calling, but not all at the same time. God knows when you are ready to be called, and how you will fit into His purpose. (Romans 8:28)  He does not want you to fail. All will have the opportunity to become a person of God by becoming a part of Christ, who is the head of His church, the vine of life. (John 15:1-8
God may be calling you now if you are studying this page with your Bible.  A calling opens your understanding of His word.

Matthew chapter 20 verse 16 says, "many are called, but few are chosen".  Therefore:
Although a calling to salvation is a FREE GIFT!
*
You must accept it!  You must accept it by believing in, and accepting Jesus
Christ, and His sacrifice to forgive sin.
*You must open the gift up! It is opened up to you when you repent of your sins,
are baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit.
* You must take it, and hold the gift tight, take good care of it, and enjoy its
   blessings! (II Peter 1:5-11)
* You must be thankful!  Thank God the Father by loving Him, and showing
that love by obeying His commandments.
God has called out some special people in history, but they did not all accept that calling.
Adam and Eve were the first.  They did not accept His calling.  They did not obey God.
At one point the people got so bad that God flooded the earth to destroy them.  But, He called out Noah and his family to preserve the earth and all that was in it.  By the power of His Holy Spirit God has continued to call out people to fulfill His purpose, and to become His.
He called out Abraham to start a NATION to be His.   Abraham was to be the father of nations.  The Israelites were his descendants . (Romans 9:4-5)  They were to follow God=s way and be an example to other nations to show them how to live in order to be happy and prosperous. . . but the Israelites rebelled, they did not accept that calling, and did not follow God's way.  God's way is not a burden, it is for the good of all His creation.  (Matthew 11:28-30)  We call His instructions commandments in Exodus 20.  God's commandments are not a burden but show the way that will bring true happiness.

Although the Israelites did not answer God's call and  follow His way, they did preserve in the Old Testament, God's teachings. (Romans 3:1-2)  So we know what is good for us and what is bad for us, and the results of doing right, and the results of doing wrong which are recorded there. The blessings and curses are clearly outlined in Deuteronomy 11:26-28.    Acts 24:14-16 says, that Paul, who answered God's call, worshiped the God of his fathers, believing all things which are written in the law, and in the prophets.

Later, in the New Testament, after Jesus Christ came and preached the Good News of the coming kingdom of God, there was a calling of another group of people.  They are "His Church" made up from all peoples who believe in Jesus Christ, have repented, been baptized, and received the Holy Spirit.  In Romans 9:24-26 it says, God called not only the Jew, (who are a part of the Israelite nation, descendants of Abraham), but also the Gentiles (those not  physically descended from Abraham).  Galatians 3:29
The power of the Holy Spirit given to the "called" is unimaginable!
Isaiah shows us how powerful God's Spirit is in chapter 14, verse 24, "The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, ‘Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand:"  Imagine!  Just thinking of something, and it is done!  All that God purposes will be for good. (Numbers 19:20-21 & Romans 8:28)

When the called have matured and have the fullness of the Holy Spirit they will have that power also.  Can you imagine every one of your thoughts now being done, and standing forever?  What chaos! You can see that God cannot give His awesome power to be used wrongly.  With just a small amount of that power one could move mountains.  (Matthew 17:20
Growth of the Holy Spirit.
God gives His Spirit a little at a time.  The Holy Spirit is given to humans, at first, in a small portion, a down payment, of the promise of God that we will one day become spirit, and be like Him.  (II Corinthians 5:5)

How does the Holy Spirit grow?  It grows with use.  One must draw on the power of the Holy Spirit with prayer, fasting, and listening to God by reading His every word in the Bible,- - - and following them.
How do you know if the Holy Spirit is growing in you?
As the Holy Spirit increases in one, it spills out in good works. It pleases God the Father to see this, much as it pleases human parents to see their children grow in character, taking on increased responsibilities, to become mature adults. We can know God by His works.  (Romans 1:20) He can know us by our works.  In proportion to our works He will reward us. (Matthew 16:27)  We will eventually become like Him, born as one of His spirit children.

Fruits of the Holy Spirit are the good works God the Father watches for. They are: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control. The greatest, the one that brings about the others, is Love. (Galatians 5:22)  We are told in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, to love one another, and that it is the greatest love to give ones life (not necessarily death) for another. (Matthew 19:19, Matthew 22:39, Leviticus 19:18) Jesus, who had the FULLNESS of the Holy Spirit, personified that great love, for He gave His life, and His death, for us, unconditionally, while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)

You can have eternal life thru Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:12 informs us that, there is no other name except Jesus Christ given by which we must be saved.
God the Father does the calling.  In John 6:37 Jesus says, "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to me I will by no means cast out."  Jesus has the power from God the Father to give eternal life.  He says further in John 17:1-2 "You have given your Son authority over all flesh, that He shall give eternal life to as many as You have given Him."  In verse 12 He says, "Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled."
It is the desire of God that all men be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  (I Timothy 2:4)  Also in Ezekiel 18:23 it says, "Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" says the LORD God, "and not that he should turn from his ways and live?"  And again in verse 32, "I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,. . . Therefore turn and live!"

God is calling human beings to become spirit beings in His image, and be part of His family. (Colossians 3:4, Rom. 8:13-17 ) His family will eventually reside in the New Jerusalem. (Revelation 21 & 22)  THERE WILL BE NO EVIL THERE! (verse 27)

Revelation 21:6-7 says, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life FREELY to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son."  (Matthew 5:6)

All of God's people must follow God's way as exemplified by Jesus Christ, for if one does NOT keep the commandments of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ they are NOT His. They can be cut off! Divorced! (John 15:1-10)  They cannot participate in the marriage supper, dressed in proper clothing, joined to Christ in heaven.  (Revelation 19:7-8)
Then again in Revelation 22:14 it says,
"Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city."

To enter this kingdom one must:
1)Repent, be baptized, and
     receive the Holy Spirit.
    (Acts. 2:38)
 2. Fear the Lord, and work
    righteousness (keeping all the
    words of God).
    (Acts 10:34)
 3.Partake of the body and
    blood of Jesus Christ
    (John 6:54-58)
 4. Keep selves unspotted.
    (James 1:27)

Acts 2:39, "For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."  God keeps His promises to the letter.

If you are reading this in seriousness you are probably being called, invited by God to participate in His purpose.  Consider the cost, and grab hold of it, and keep His Seventh day Sabbath for it is a sign between you and Him.  (Exodus 31:13-17)
