WARNINGS~~~~>>>
GOD ALWAYS WARNS WHEN DISASTER IS IMMINENT! The book of Revelation is a book of warnings for the present, and the future. Warnings are given throughout the whole Bible. In Amos 3:7 we are told, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He reveals his secret unto His servants the prophets." God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)
God created everything in an orderly manner, and it was good. Keeping His creation in balance is good stewardship, and brings abundance. Putting His creation out of balance, with disobedience, automatically brings loss. This is true of the world, and of man.
Genesis 2:16-17 & I Timothy 2:14. God warned Adam and Eve that they would die if they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and they did die when they disobeyed.
In Deuteronomy 11:26-28 & chapter 28 God warned the Israelites that if they would not keep His commandments, which they agreed to do, they would lose the blessings He gave them, they would be cursed. And so it happened.
In I Samuel 2:22 to 3:20 the priest Eli was warned that all the descendants of his house would die in the flower of their age, and his two sons Hophni and Phinehas would both die in one day, because he, Eli would not heed the correction of his people, and regarded his sons more than God. And so it happened.
I Samuel 2:35 So, then the LORD would raise up for Himself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in His heart and mind, and he shall walk before His anointed forever. And so it came about. I Samuel 3:20 "Samuel, and all Israel from Dan to Beersheba, knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the LORD."
The prophets of old were sent to warn that if Israel did not obey God, following other gods instead, they would lose the blessings He had bestowed on them. And so it happened.
Jesus warned also in Luke 16:31 with the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, it concludes, "And he said unto him, 'If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, (to follow God's ways) though one rose from the dead." - Jesus Christ. So, it would be good for us today to heed the warnings of Moses and the prophets, and follow God's way so we will not lose the blessing of salvation.
In Josephus pp 582-583 he tells how the people of Jerusalem were warned about the fall of Jerusalem in seven different ways. However, many did not understand, and ignored the warnings accepting the interpretations of false prophets. Those who had ears to hear, and understood, left, and were saved.
There will be warnings for those in Jerusalem when the Antichrist/Beast of Revelation 13:11 takes over also. The two witnesses of Revelation 11:3 will warn that the Beast is false.
After the two special witnesses warn the people there are no more warnings given by anyone appearing as human. There is one last warning, given by an angel in Revelation 14:6-7. The people are warned to get out of the Babylon system.
Take heed to these warnings!
