  PROPHECY AND THE HOLY DAYS~~~~>>>

The two greatest events in all of the world's history happened on two of the Creators given feasts.  They are:
1) Passover, when Christ by His sacrificial death covered our sins.
2) Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was made available for all.
Future holy days will also bring great events in God's plan.
I WANT TO BE THERE!  DO YOU?

God's plan hinges on His seven Holy Days.  In the Fall season there are four, each of these is significant in the end times.  God's months are not figured as the present calendar.  His months begin in the spring, with month one (Apr.)   The seventh month is in the Fall, (Sept./Oct.)

Feast of Trumpets
Numbers 29:1
"And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation.  You shall do no customary work.  For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets.

In Numbers 10:1-4 we are told that trumpets were blown in this way: One trumpet was for the leaders to assemble. Two trumpets were blown for everyone to assemble.

In I Corinthians 15:51-54, Matthew 24:31, & I Thessalonians 4:16 there is only one trumpet blown, which is for leaders to assemble. The leaders in these cases are the elect, the firstfruits, future kings and priests in God's coming kingdom.  It is an assembly of the elect who had been changed to spirit at the Passover.  It is blown to call the elect to meet Christ in the clouds, and to be with Him.

Hebrews 12:18-28 tells us of an assembly of the first born.  "You have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. "

Later in Matthew 24:30-31 the elect/leaders are called again from the four corners of heaven with a trumpet to assemble. When they are gathered they will dramatically return to earth with Christ (Matt. 24:30-31) At that time He will return to earth as a Warrior with a two edged sword. (Revelation 19:11-18) (Isaiah 11:4).  This is on a Feast of Trumpets.  One of His first tasks will be to put Satan away.

Atonement
Atonement is a fast day, a day to come closer to the Father and His son.  It represents the time when Christ puts Satan away so that the people will not be influenced by him, and will come closer to their God.  They will be "At-one-ment" with God. (Revelation 19:19-21

Numbers 29:7 says, "On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation.  You shall afflict your souls; you shall not do any work."  Afflict means to fast. It is very important to God. Not doing so, will cut them off from His people.  By fasting one realizes that one is totally dependant on God for their very lives.  It is also a joyous reminder that Jesus, by His sacrifice, has made it possible for us to meet with God. (Romans 5:10-11)  (Revelation 19:19 to 20:3)

Feast of Tabernacles
The Feast of Tabernacle represents the future time when all the people on earth will know God.   It will be the time of the millennial reign of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords.. All can become His people, and He will be their God, as He has promised. He will rule from Jerusalem, with His elect saints. Revelation 20:4 & 6  All people will learn to keep the Feast of Tabernacles in that time.

Zechariah 14:16-19 says, "And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.  If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles."

In the New Testament this feast was observed in the Tabernacle in Jerusalem. Jesus went there for this feast, as a boy of twelve, with his father and mother, (Luke 2:41-52). It is also possible that this feast was being kept by Joseph and Mary when they also went there for the census, when Jesus was born.

Numbers 29:12 says, "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation.  You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days."  Going on to verse 34 we find that they were to offer sacrifices each day.  These days are separated to worship God.  Our sacrifice is presenting ourselves wholly to God.

Deuteronomy 16:13 tells us how to keep these days.  "You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress.  And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant and the Levite, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates.  Seven days you shall keep a sacred feast to the LORD your God in the place which the LORD chooses, because the LORD your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you surely rejoice."  It is a time to count your blessings.

Further, we are told in Leviticus  23:39-43 "Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD for seven days; on the first day there shall be a Sabbath rest, and on the eighth day a Sabbath rest.  And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.  You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.  You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.' "  So this feast is sometimes called The Feast of Booths

Now, the feast must be kept differently. It cannot be observed in the temple, but wherever two or three are gathered in His name, He will be there, (Matthew 18:20). God’s called people, His earthly church, must still gather on these days, and also live in temporary dwellings. It is a joyous occasion, for the tabernacle of God, His Holy Spirit, is in them. It is a family affair, picturing God’s future family.  (Revelation 20:4-10)

This feast is also to remind us of the time in the wilderness when the Israelites were dwelling with God. God lead them by day in a cloud, and by night in a pillar of fire.  God was with them in a marvelous way that could be seen.  Later He was with people in human form, and could be seen.  He will come again to be seen as He really is! (I John 3:2)  We can rejoice in the hope of dwelling with God again in the future. (Revelation 21:7

Last Great Day a day of Judgment. Immediately after the seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles, the eighth day.

Numbers 29:35 "On the eighth day you shall have a sacred assembly.  You shall do no customary work. "

In the future there is a final thing left to be done. What about all those who died never knowing the name of Jesus Christ, or having their minds opened to God’s ways?  (Revelation 20:11-15

Revelation 20:5 says, "But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished." In some Bibles is added, " This is the first resurrection." it is not in the early manuscripts.  This is the second resurrection.  They will be resurrected to human life, given knowledge, and judged by their acceptance of God’s word, the Bible. If they love God, and chose to obey, they will be written in the Book of Life. Those not written in the Book of Life will die the second, and final, death. Then ALL will have had the opportunity for salvation.

There is also a time in which those who knew God's way, and positively refused to follow it, will be resurrected only to feel the second death which is final annihilation. Then there will be no more evil, God’s perfected family will be complete, and be in His kingdom, the New Jerusalem. (Revelation 21:1 - 22:5)
