"Behold, I tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

This trumpet is a call to gather the elect to the mansions prepared for them in heaven. John 14:1-3

Acts 1:9 & 11          "Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight . . . "

(He then went  further, to the throne of the Father. John 20:17)

"This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. The clouds are in the 1st heaven, a gate-way, through which the elect can meet Him, go to the Father, and abide with Them.           

:13-14 "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus, (Just as He brought Jesus up to heaven, through the clouds, to be with Him) :15"For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. :16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven  (To the clouds, not to earth) with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. (This trumpet is a gathering trumpet, not the 7th disaster trumpet of Rev.) And the dead in Christ will rise first.        :17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." (As spirit).  And thus we shall always be with the Lord." (In heaven, on earth, and in the new Jerusalem)

:18 "Therefore comfort one another with these words."

:30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.                       This is Christ's return for His millennial reign.     :31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."                            They are in heaven!   He will gather the spirit elect who were prepared in heaven, for war.

He will set His feet on the Mt. of olives to fight the beast forces. (Zechariah 14:4)                      This is His second coming.

Then the millennium will begin. The elect will have been trained and assigned to their positions, to work with Jesus to renew the world.

1to 6:17 Present Age

7:1-17 to 8:2 Elect changed to spirit. Spirit Elect go to heaven to be taught by Jesus.

8:3 to 12:12 Many  hard things happen on earth while they are there.

12:13 to 14:8 Satan's wrath on remnant of God's people on earth, (the 144,000, and those who were converted by the two witnesses).

14:9 to 18:24 Wrath of God completed.

19:1-9 Marriage supper

20:5-15 Last Great Day.  Judgment
