Fireground Action

 Multiple handlines were stretched for a house trailer fire at 31 Main St.

Captain Ed Bourassa confers with a mutual aid crew from Southbridge Fire during the overhaul phase of the operation at 31 Main St.

Sturbridge Fire Chief Leonard Senecal directs FFs  John Marinelli, Brian Towns, and Ed Chamberland as they put the ladder pipe into operation at a fire at 91 Coombs St. in Southbridge.  This was the second major fire in this building in a one month period.  Two juveniles were arrested in connection with the fire.

A Sturbridge firefighter knocks down the exterior fire while interior crews prepare to enter a building on Main St. in the Fiskdale section of Town.  First due firefighters were met with very heavy fire conditions in a large 3 story occupied multi-family dwelling.

Sturbridge Fire Captain Ed Bourassa and FF Alan Brackett regroup and get fresh SCBA cylinders after waging an initial interior attack on the Main St. dwelling.  Summertime heat and high humidity took quite a toll on firefighters.
