AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL

God Bless the U.S.A.

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

  Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory
Of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage
Where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
Of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Chorus
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

Isaiah 44:6-8

"Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts: I Am the the First and I AM the Last; Besides me there is no GOD.
Who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come. Let them show these to them.
Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are MY witnesses. Is there a GOD besides ME? In deed there is no other ROCK; I know not one."

Poem By Judge Who Defended Ten Commandments

This poem was written by Judge Roy Moore. Judge Moore was recently sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom. After a lengthy appeal process the case has been dismissed and the Ten Commandments remain on display.

America the Beautiful, or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride, I'm glad they'll never see
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty, your house is built on sand.

Our children wander aimlessly, poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray.

So many worldly pastors tell lies about our Rock,
Saying God is going broke so they can fleece the flock.
We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown,
When earth is but His footstool and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children will humbly turn and pray,
Seek His holy face and mend our evil way,
Then God will hear from Heaven and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.

But America the Beautiful if you don't, then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from thee. AMEN!

-Judge Roy Moore

PATRIOTIC QUOTES

 ALBERT GALLATIN, 1789

"The whole of the Bill of Rights is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals. It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of." -----Albert Gallatin of the New York Historical Society, October 7, 1789.

 THOMAS JEFFERSON, 1809

"Aware of the tendency of power to degenerate into abuse, the worthies of our country have secured its independence by the establishment of a Constitution and form of government for our nation, calculated to prevent as well as to correct abuse." -----Thomas Jefferson to Washington Tammany Society, 1809.

 NOAH WEBSTER, 1787

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to

"GIVE ME LIBERTY, OR GIVE ME DEATH"
Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty?

Are we disposed to be of the numbers of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it. ---- Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775.

GEORGE WASHINGTON ON KEEPING OATH OF OFFICE
"Previous to the execution of any official act of the President the Constitution requires an oath of office. This oath I am now about to take, and in your presence: That if it shall be found during my administration of the Government I have in any instance violated willingly or knowingly the injunctions thereof, I may (besides incurring constitutional punishment) be subject to the up-braidings of all who are now witnesses of the present solemn ceremony." ----- George Washington; Second Inaugural Address (March 4, 1793).

Founding Fathers About Need For Morality
Long ago one of our nations founders expressed a great wisdom when he said: And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. (George Washington)

And: Religion and morality...are the foundations of all governments. Without these restraints no free government could long exist. ** *Carroll, Charles. November 4, 1800, in a letter to James McHenry. Bernard C. Steiner, The Life and Correspondence of James McHenry (Cleveland: The Burrows Brothers, 1907)

  About Liberty and Armed Citizenry
"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States" -- Noah Webster, "An Examination into the Leading Principals of the Federal Constitution.", in Paul Ford, ed., Pamphlets on the Constitution of the United States, at 56 (New York, 1888).

"if raised, whether they could subdue a Nation of freemen, who know how to prize liberty, and who have arms in their hands?" -- Delegate Sedgwick, during the Massachusetts Convention, rhetorically asking if an oppressive standing army could prevail ... Johnathan Elliot, ed., Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, Vol. 2 at 97 (2d ed., 1888).

  ~~Celebrate Life in Christ ~~

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. -John 8:36

July 4th is celebrated in America as national liberty day. The day we celebrate our freedom. Most nations have their own day of celebration of some kind.

Christians have a liberty day, too in their personal lives - the day when Christ personally set them free from sin.
The freedom, which Christ brings, is far more important than anything else in one's life. This freedom is maintained by constantly living in the spirit, a spirit of devotion, faith, and keeping the heart turned toward Christ. Then we are free indeed.
Celebrate Christ today!
