My Testimony
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. I came to know the Lord when I was 16 years old. I attended Youth Camp in our home area. All things became new for my future life that morn. Morning had truly broken for me. Prior to this, - I had wanted very much to be a Christian, but the right time just had not come for me. I was very raised in a Christian home and I had scarcely missed a Sunday of going to church in my life, (but good deeds do not save you). I loved Jesus, but did not truly know Him. Later
in our church I received the infilling of the
Holy Spirit. I remember the great change for days afterward
in my life when I wasn't interested in anything but God's
Word. The Love I had for everyone was the greatest
experience I had ever known in my life. I looked at
everyone with compassion and love through the Spirit. There are still times in my life when I wonder if I am in God's perfect will for my life. I am reminded of a song I sang when just a small girl, -"Make Me Lord What You Want Me To Be" That is still my prayer today for I am still growing in Christ. With God by my side each day, I can make it.
In His Love, Brenda
