The Grass Withers But

God's Word Stands Forever

Summer winds come and pass

Drying up all the beautiful grass

 Sadly the grass doesn't last

It withers very fast

God's Word stands forever

 Words fulfilled by God's power

Helps us every day and hour

Not as the world, and its sorrow

Here today and gone tomorrow

 The Word lives forever

God's Word will forever stand

Upon life's sinking sand

 Words of assurance and hope

Words of stability to help us cope

God's Word is always the same

The Word is not wind driven

But in love it is given

Not tempest tossed and torn

In God's Power it was born

God's Word will stand forever

God's Divine Word will stand forever

Eternal, Supernal, Words of life

I will depart from it, no never

God's Word is always the same

Glory to His Holy Name
