Prayer
of Humility

Dear
God, I
know I often fail
Sometimes
my spirit is frail
Guide
me into things holy
Let
my words for You be boldly
I
do want to do what is right
Let
me be acceptable in thy sight
I
really need to be more humble
And
please forgive me when I grumble
Let
my faltering words and wandering thought
To
thy throne be brought
Attempts
without You are not bright
Let
me be Acceptable in thy sight
Give
me harmony of heart and lips
Before
some hasty word slips
Let
me meditate on Holy things
Lift
my heart on angel wings
And
then my devotions might
Be
acceptable in thy sight

be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord,"

Words
can hurt, and destroy peace and harmony in our life and with our
relationship with God. When we have anger, do we find ourselves
trembling or do we possess a peace that passes all
understanding. Peace is the rights of God’s children. We can
find joy when our hearts are fixed on him. This is one way we
can please God and also make life easier for those around us.
