Women's Ministry

1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Women here have a great opportunity to do a great work for God. One of the largest and most vital areas of ministry is to make disciples, by helping to carry out the Great Commission.

Also a door of discipleship is in Instructing. Paul instructed that all spiritually mature women had the responsibility to mentor those women who were less mature (Titus 2: 3-5)  Through discipling other women and bringing them to maturity in Christ, New Testament women glorified Go and were integrally involved in kingdom ministry (John 15: 7, 8).

The older woman is to set an example by living a holy life.  One that does not spread gossip, drink and worldly things, but teachers of good things.

Then the younger woman will be able to lead a godly life and bring glory to her home, and God.

Women in the early ministry of Paul's day were not spectators.  They played an active, and vital role on the day-to-day function of the church.  God poured out His Spirit upon both sons and daughters. (Joel 2: 28, Acts 2: 17,18. and the Spirit empowered women ministered using the full spectrum of gifts.  Beside evangelism, prophecy, teaching and discipleship, womem were involved in countless other ministries. together with service to their families. Women were an active part of the assembly in Philippi Acts 16:  11-15 and were involved in the establishment of churches. in Thessalonica Acts 17: 4 and Berea Acts 17: 12.

Paul often referred to women as his "fellow workers".  He specifically acknowledged Mary Rom: 16: 6 Tryphena, Tryphosa and Persis Rom. 16: 12 There wer others like Euodia and Syntyche Priscilla of ordinary people in the work of God.

God always has a work for all of His Children.
