Instructors
Acoustic Athletes was established by Andrew Rigney, a student at Tullahoma High School and two-time winner of the Tennessee State Flatpick Guitar Championship along with many other awards. Andrew is a multi-instrumentalist who plays over 50 dates and year with a bluegrass band. He also plays for the THS Jazz Band and teaches lessons on guitar, mandolin, banjo and bass to private students. He began playing guitar at age ten and has a passion for helping children find the joy of music. Andrew will be providing instruction each week.
Rylan Cox, an engineer at ATA, will also provide lessons and assistance for the program. Rylan has played guitar 15 years and studied under Doc Stone while at Tennessee Tech University. He is a song writer, and he played with the band "Spirit of the Aviator." He has been a counselor at Mid-South Youth Camp, taught private guitar lessons, and he has served as a youth intern for a church in Chattanooga. He enjoys working with youth in Tullahoma. He is married and the father of two children.
