This is an audience recording that I got from a friend of mine in the early 80's.
It was recorded in Miami, Florida 1970 (no other date was available). The band
was touring to promote the Metamorphosis album (which had been released on
8/13/70). 

My tape was on a very good Maxell XL ll and I assume it is at least a 3rd generation
copy... It is a very solid recording. My tape is obviously in mono, and one channel
sounded much cleaner, so after several listens, I decided to just use one channel
rather than muddy it up by adding the darker channel. (this seed is in 2 tracks, of course)

I used SOUNDFORGE to do my editing. IN A GADDA DA VIDA was split over 
Side A and Side B, so I left the segments that way and named them Pt 1 and Pt 2.
(This entire song lasted over 28 minutes with some really different solos - a real
treasure). I did a small amount of EQ with the SOUNDFORGE, but left the show
so you can tweek it with your tone controls to your liking. I used FlacFrontend to
convert the files to flac. 

Over all a good sounding audience recording that is almost 35 years old! This band
was so hot at this show!! My favorite version of IRON BUTTERFLY.....
