At a greyhound meet and greet, the name for this fledgling enterprise came to me. Despite the tangle of leashes, a gathering of greyhounds could only be a grace of hounds or if you prefer houndspeak, a greyce of hounds. I have been quilting for several years and when Danny came into my life, it was inevitable that I'd quilt for him. Here is the first collection of designs for greyhound coats.

Design 2 and 3 may be done in black with a brilliant color in the loops for a stained glass effect as shown in the Celtic Hearts design. Ask for the stained glass effect on the order form if you'd like to try it.

Personalize Your Coat
The front chest section can be personalized with thread calligraphy for only $10.00.
these coats are entirely custom made. You order the design and choose the colors. Nearly any color is available in greyt batiks, prints and solids of high quality 100% cotton. Cotton/poly batting is warm and washable but 100% cotton, polyester or wool batting is available on request. Crayolas can help you define colors but please allow me to use available fabrics in your color range. The coats are warm but light, perfect for cool spring and fall days. For colder winter days, it can be worn over a fleece coat or under a heavier nylon coat for added warmth. Quilted coats can be made with a polar fleece lining on request. You'd like a nice quilt in the winter.
CRAZY QUILT
CRAZY QUILT is absolutely unique. Crazy quilts were popular in Victorian times and showed a quilter's many talents in embroidery and quilting. Anything goes with this fun style. Danny's coat has a racing greyhound and several phrases such as "Forever Home" and "Adopt A Fast Friend" machine freehand embroidered on it. Favorite colors, names and phrases can be incorporated into your Crazy Quilt coat. Danny's coat has a bellyband made from a pair of boxers. $50.00
The SQUIRREL COAT shown is a little small for Danny as it is made for a delicate female greyhound. As stated before, each coat is custom made for each dog. I just wanted to show you the design before it was shipped out. This is a fun coat of bright orange and gold batik fabric with appliqued dark green, blue, violet, brown squirrels of high quality Cherrywood fabric. This coat also has appliqued oak leaves. You may have the squirrels continue the chase or add oak leaves to stop them. Meander and swirl quilting gives a lot of definition to the coat. Choose your own colors! $50.00
