The Annual Conclave of the Knights of York Cross of Honour was opened at 1:00 PM by Eminent Prior, Thomas Seymour, on April 15, 2006 at the Montesano Masonic Center in due form.

Knight Robert Freested has resigned due to health and Knight Harold Rothgeb was absent without notice.

Regular business was suspended and Knights Ernest (Rudy) Engle, Stanley C. Cybulski and Michael A. Smitson were received into the order. Lectures were given by Knights Wm. Bill Scott, Blue Lodge; Glenn Siron, Chapter; Bryan Bechler, Council and Lewis Peck, Commandery.

Introductions of distinguished members: MEC R. Dale Fluaitt, Grand High Priest, Grand Chapter of RAM; Glenn A. Siron, NW Dept. Commander, Grand Encampment USA, KT. Past Priors present were Knights Ron Dingle, Eugene Alexander, Robert Johnson, John Hardin and Bud Boergadine.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The Treasurers report was accepted as read. Bills for the event were $45.00 for dinner and $50.00 for rent. The Registrar presented a bill for copy and postage for $54.46.A motion was made to pay the bills; seconded and passed.

Communications: A communication was read from Convent General stating that a resolution was being considered to make mandatory attendance at Convent General’s Annual Conclave.

Sickness and distress: Knight Dingle reported on PP Bill Nelson who has been hospitalized for a month. The crisis is past and he is doing better.

No old business was tendered.

New business: A motion was made by Knight Alexander to pay $1000.00 for the prior or his proxy to Convent General’s Annual Conclave and seconded. Knight Dingle amended it to $500.00 for air fare. The motion was passed as amended.

                Knight Fluaitt moved to pay all receipts over air fare including banquet, registration, ground transportation and room as long as receipts were submitted. The motion was seconded and passed.

A motion was made to donate $500 to Medical Research (the philanthropy of Convent General), seconded and passed.

                A motion was made to contribute $500.00 to the Washington Masonic Alliance in the name of the KYCH and York Rite. The motion was seconded and discussion held on the value of the WMA and its purposes for the information of the knights. The motion passed.

                Knight Stephens moved to fund the printing of 500 York Rite Calendars at the cost of $1000.00; Knight Chapman seconded and the motion passed. The knights agreed that the calendar was invaluable.

Election of Officers: A motion was made to advance all Knights in line to the next station, skipping any vacancies and retaining the registrar in place. Seconded and passed. Elections were held for the vacancies and a new sentinel.

The Knights of Evergreen Priory were installed by PP’s Robert Johnson, IO; Eugene Alexander, IM and John Hardin, IC.

Conclaves for the year will be January 20, 2007 in Ellensburg for the nomination of candidates and April 14, 2007 in Walla Walla for the Annual.

Newly installed Eminent Prior Glenn A. Siron closed the conclave in due form, joy, peace and harmony prevailing.
