Verla died November 16, 1991. Her body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS.

She married Reuben Wade Norris April 15, 1932. (Reuben Wade Norris reference F283 (F200-3)) Reuben was born November 27, 1915. Reuben was the son of Matthew Grover Cleveland Norris and Effie Matilda Breazeale. Reuben died May 29, 2001 in Louisville, Winston Co, MS. His body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS.
