Anderson died March 5, 1993 in Neshoba Co, MS. Anderson was a retired farmer. He died of heart failer at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a Leake County native and lifelong Neshoba County resident. He was a member of the First Church of God, Philadelphia, Neshoba Co, MS. His body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS.

He married four times. He married Stella Savanna Blount June 4, 1914. Stella was born August 2, 1895. Stella died March 27, 1927. Her body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS. He married Nellie Mae Nowell July 2, 1927 in Neshoba Co, MS. Nellie was born October 6, 1906. Nellie was the daughter of John Robert Nowell and Saphrona Clementine (Fronia) Breazeale. Nellie died June 10, 1944 in Neshoba Co, MS. Her body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS. He married Lillian Irene Barfield March 24, 1945. Lillian was born July 2, 1897. Lillian died February 26, 1973. Her body was interred at Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston Co, MS. He married Mary Fortenberry Blackstock August 12, 1973. Mary was born October 20, 1906. Mary died July 6, 1984. Her body was interred at North Bend Methodist Church in Neshoba Co, MS.
