| Allison Farrar Milliron began her study of art under the direction of her grandmother, Doris Farrar, and J. Michelet, renowned duckstamp artist. Her high school years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts prepared her for study at Auburn University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1993. Upon graduation she apprenticed under sculptor Casey Downing of Mobile, AL and completed her first public sculpture for Fairhoper's Community Park in 1996. In 1997 she began graduate work at Asbury Theological Seminary, where she used art in ministry. She graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 2000. She is a mother of two children, Shellie, and William. She volunteers in ministry with her husband, Rev. Josh Milliron, at Jennings UMC. Currently she teaches art lessons, paints portraits, and creates sculptures at her home studio in Jennings, LA. |
