Although the western part of the Veil
Nebula is fainter than the eastern portion, the proximity of NGC
6960 to the fourth-magnitude star 52 Cygni makes it easier to find. NGC 6960 is commonly
known as the Witch's Broom Nebula. To left are NGC 6974 and 6979, which form Pickering's
Triangular Wisp.

Technical Notes: Individual exposures were obtained using CCDAutoPilot2 and then sigma combined. The RGB image was created in
Registar 1.0. A Gaussian Blur of 1 pixel was applied to the RGB image. A copy of the RGB
image was combined with the original using Soft Light to enhance color. Field curvature is
present at the corners of the frame.
