The northern part of Cygnus is filled with red nebulosity from glowing hydrogen gas. The North America Nebula and Pelican Nebula are at top left, with Deneb at top center. The area around Gamma Cygni at lower right is particularly rich in nebulosity.

Technical Notes:
 Individual exposures were sigma combined. The RGB image was created in Registar 1.0.
Mild gradients in the green and red channels were removed using Ron Wodaski's Gradient Removal plug-in for CCDSoft. The RGB image was duplicated and combined with the original using Soft Light with a opacity of 25% to enhance color saturation.
