Figure 1 is the actual Radio Shack condenser circuit. We got it laid out on our ElectroLulu L77 ® test jig device. In this manner we can see all the parts and it's more than easy to screw with. We solder it up, test it, then if it doesn't work how we think it's supposed to work, we can easily rip it apart and try something else. Seldom do we get it right the first time and the cat likes the luxury of easy tear down. Figure 2 and 3 really show that condenser. It's probably about a quarter inch in diameter and requires nine volts or so. We've got it mounted on a piece of aluminum tubing and then heat shrink wrapped. Figure 4 is one of our Eckmiller passive equalizers that we enjoy using with this little microphone. This particular Model W86 was given to Lulu when she was tracking at a studio in jolly olde England back in the groovy 60's. As the engineer said, "10 and 60 . . . ain't much else you need, old bean." |
