Obituary article:
Mrs. Arabella Imel, well known resident of Clackamas County, who has resided in this county for the past 40 years, died at the home of her son, J. S. Imel, near Crescent, near Oregon City Saturday evening at 10:30 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Imel was a native of Iowa and was born 71 years ago. She crossed the plains in 1864. Deceased has many friends through out Clackamas County, and is survived by her son J. S. Imel and four grandchildren of Crescent, and a brother of Klamath Falls, Oregon. The funeral services, which were arranged by Holman & Pace of this city were conducted at the family home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock and a brief service was held at the Highland Cemetery at 12 o'clock, with Reverend H. G. Edgar, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of this city officiating. Interment was in the family lot and the remains laid beside those of her husband and brother, George Jones. She formerly resided in Highland. Many beautiful floral tributes covvered the grave. Pall bearers were old time friends of the deceased.
