General Notes (Husband)

A letter from someone named Winnie says:

Nancy Jane Jones, now she was married ONLY four times, not five. I only know of O'connor, Fleming and Stoker and who the other one was and where he came in at I don't know. She was a cousin of Arabelle Imel, but you perhaps knew that. She came across the plains when she was about 3 years old. Anyway I don't know from what state they came. She was born Mar. 2, 1829 and died Feb. 25, 1925.

Charles Stoker came from England on a ship and stayed in the states. He was born Mar 25, 1819 and died June 16, 1891. There were children born to Grandma from 3 marriages. but none from the other one. Stoker was the last marriage. The foster daughter was Josie (I don't know what her lastname was) and I'm not sure that Grandma adopted her in fact I don't think she did, as Josie wasn't 18 when Grandma passed away so she had to go back to the home. I have the belief that grandma was alone at the time and took her for company andof course for some help. I remember she was going to school when we were there. (we went to grandmas when mama and papa separated) and that next year I started to school. To the best of my knowledge this is all correct. Emma lives real close to me and is very well for an old person. In fact she really has more get up and go than I do. She is 6 years older than me, which makes her 79. I have 10 grandchildren, 3 great grand and expecting 2 more greats this late summer. (This letter is signed Winnie).
