Excerpts from a letter dated Dec. 1977 from Viola Rider to Herbert and Myrtle Imel: Last known address Downey, Cal.

Have you had any luck trying to contact Melvin or Ruth? I would think some one would know where either Melvin or Otto lived.I've heard that they may be living in Recluse, Wyoming. The last letter I had from Melvin was from Box 753, Gillette, Wyoming. He said Otto was there too and was doing well drilling, and has two daughters. Melvin said he divorced since 1949.His children were all in Anaconda, Montana. He also said Flossie died in 1938 and Harley in 1946. He said Marjorie lived in South San Francisco but he didn't say what her name was - if she was married. Of course, I haven't heard from him since Feb. 1955. I can's understand why, if he wasn't there, that my letters weren't returned to me by the post office. I wrote several letters to that address. In his last letter he said he had an operation the 11th of Feb. 1955 for appendicitis and gall bladder and was doing fine. I flew to Evansville Indiana in June to visit our daughter, Dorothy and family. We have 3 grand children, ages 18, 15 1/2 and 11. They moved there in 1973.Signed Viola. Note says daughter Dorothy Isabel was adopted. Viola had no children of her own.
