Binder Purpose Your math binder is a place to practice problems and store needed notes, vocabulary, and formulas. Your
work in this binder (as well as your ability to stay organized and prepared) will be assessed at the end of every unit. Binder
Sections Section 1: Your book. Keep your book inside your binder at all times. An alarm will sound if you remove it (just kidding). Section
2: Unit Journal (loose-leaf paper needed for this section) Ø A unit journal is an in-depth study
of a math topic. Ø This section will be “emptied” at the end of the unit. Ø Organize and date EVERY entry. Ø NUMBER THE PAGE of your loose-leaf paper as you use it. This
section includes:

3: Vocabulary (loose-leaf paper needed for this section) Keep this section going all year. It should become an organized dictionary
of vocabulary we learn throughout the year. Section 4: Homework (loose-leaf paper needed for this section) This section will be
“emptied” at the end of the unit. This section should include your ACE assignments and Mathematical Reflections. Section 5: Handouts This
section will be kept all year. It is a “toolbox” of materials that you will refer to in all units as well as while you are working
on Accelerated Math assignments. It also includes classroom procedures, assignment sheets, and notes provided by the teacher. Section
6: Accelerated Math This section will include your current Practice assignment and Test. Please hole-punch these after they print and
recycle old Practices and Tests. Keep your Accelerated Math cards in a clear plastic pocket. | ||
