The airport is listed on the DFW Sectional as Pecan Plantation, just east of Granbury.  Traffic is left-hand, with patterns generally flown at 1,500 feet for both Runways 18 and 36.   The UNICOM frequency is 123.05 and standard procedures are required due to occasional high volume of traffic.

Pecan's airport ID is 0TX1 (zero T X one) and coordinates for the threshold of Rwy 18 are N32 21.441  W097 40.533  Additional data is available at the AIRNAV listing for the airport.

Pilots are to use caution when landing in crosswinds, since the eddy effects of nearby terrain and homes can cause dramatic wind shifts along the runway.

The rules call for 1,800' msl in our traffic pattern; however, Pecan pilots fly a range between 1,300' and 1,800' depending the type of aircraft and nature of the operation.  For noise abatement, maintain runway heading until over the river when departing to the south.  Departures to the north are asked to delay turns until reaching pattern altitude.

There is a grass runway beside the asphalt surface.  VASI is provided for Rwy 18, but is set to a high angle and is difficult to see.

Transient parking is located at the northeast corner of the airfield.

Fuel is available at Granbury (F55), nine miles to the west.
