Who Am I?

I was born and currently live in Plattsburgh, New York, a nice little city in Northeastern New York. Plattsburgh is on the western shore of Lake Champlain, about 30 miles north-west of Burlington, Vermont and 62 miles south of Montreal, Quebec.

From 1980 to 1985, I lived in Tumwater, Washington, where I attended Tumwater High School. Tumwater is about 60 miles south of Seattle, Washington. Visit Seattle live with The Seattle Space Needle Cam.

After High School, I came back east to attend Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. I graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in History, wrote for the "The Dartmouth," (the oldest college newspaper in America), and became a member of Phi Tau. You can see a live picture of the Dartmouth Green from the tower of Baker Library by visiting the Dartmouth Webcam.

Later, I earned an M.A. in Rhetoric and Communication Studies at the University of Virginia. UVA was founded by Thomas Jefferson. Students, faculty and alumni will never let you forget it.

I am now the Executive Director of the North Country Center for Independence in Plattsburgh, New York ... a local not-for-profit disability service and advocacy organization governed and staffed primarily by people with disabilities.
