We have developed a program based on traditional Tae Kwon Do for kids called Karate for Kids for children ages 6-13. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as:

• Goals
• Courtesy
• Integrity
• Self-Esteem
• Respect
• Dedication

Karate for Kids features an incentive program to encourage good behavior at home and in school by earning stars and patches that can be displayed on their uniform. Different colored stars are awarded for the following...

• Blue - Monthly themes and classroom performance
• Red - Tournament participation
• Silver - Good behavior at home (task to be set by parents)
• Gold - Straight A's, honor roll, or significant improvement

Within the ATA each student is looked upon as an individual. Students are judged based on their own progress and abilities, not compared to anyone else.
