Childhood Memory
A whole world to a young child,
fasinating and vast this world.
Trees so tall and green,
spreading limbs toward the sun's light,
a thick carpet covering the forest floor.
Water moves across the rocks almost calling to me,
beckoning me to it's cool wetness on a hot day.
This is my place no one else's.
As man moves closer it losses nothing of itself.
so shall it be always in my heart.
I will be there even from far away.
So it shall be for all time.
