Children's Laughter

Corwin looked at the kids running through the grass and smiled as their laughter filled the valley and echoed off the walls. It had been so long since this valley had seen such happiness as children can bring. He looked to Susan sitting there in the sun, she was propped back on her arms watching the kids run and play, the sun seemed to shine just for her and the only thought he had to describe it was.... "beautiful". Susan looked at him, "What did you say m'lord? I fear I missed it" Corwin smiled, "I was simply thinking of you and could not keep the thoughts of your beauty to myself." Susan blushed, "You know such kind words are sure to turn my head" "Well then I shall have to say them more often shant I, m'lady", he winked at her. Susan smiled and blushed slightly, "I do love you Corwin" "I love you as well Susan. I do not know how much longer I can keep up this plan to torture Ian for the singing by not telling him. It feels more like torture to me then to him.", he laughed as he said this last part. He looked back to the children, "They are so happy here. Brittany and Moira play so well together and little Daire tries to play too....it is a beautiful sight." "It is as if they had been together all their life or were meant to be. It is going to be hard to get Brittany to go home tonight", she glanced over to him and smiled. Corwin looked into her eyes and smiled then looked away as he spoke, "Perhaps soon she will not have to go home cause she will be home." He glanced back to Susan with a grin. Susan blushed a bit, "That would be wonderful if it were to happen. I can think of nowhere I would rather call home." He smiled brightly as she said this and jumped up offering her a hand up as well. She took his hand and stood looking at him curiously, "Are we going somewhere my lord?" Corwin simple grinned, "Aye.....we can't let the kids have all the fun." He took her hand leading her to where the children were playing letting go as Daire walked toward them and scooped him up spinning around once with him. Corwin held his giggling son, "So how is daddy's boy today?" Daire grinned and giggled, "DA!" Corwin smiled and tickled him, he giggled some more looking to Susan as Corwin stopped a moment, a bit confused at first then smiling as he said, "Mama!" Corwin looked over at Susan then back to his son, "Not yet little one, perhaps soon..... if she is willing." Corwin set Daire down, "Go play now" He watched Daire take off after the others as best he could then turned to Susan his arms sliding around her waist as he pulled her close, looked into her eyes and kissed her softly before whispering, "perhaps soon, if you are willing...."
