Friends and Faith
Lord Corwin sits in his Study silently watching the stars. He thinks of what his life has given him of late. He has been given the most wonderous gift of a son, Kylan. He has found so many good people that he cares for greatly, LadyVelvet, Blackthorn, Lord William, Jolieve, and many more as he thinks of them all. He was granted Knighthood by Lord BlackHawke, which was a true honor. He has performed weddings for many happy couples. The christining of the twins. He thinks, "Aye I have much to be thankful of", and yet his heart was heavy with concern. With Jolieve being accused of murder and Blackhawke being so secretive. The trouble this is causing between those two and the effect it has on Blackthorn and all of Camelot." He must have a reason, a man of honor such as he would not do this for no reason".
Corwin turns from the window as a servant brings a cup of hot tea to him. " Thank you, You may have the rest of this eve off no need for you to stay up just because I am".
Corwin sips the tea letting it sooth his nerves. He picks up his quill and looks at it and the blank piece of paper he got out earlier. He then dips the quill in the ink well and begins to write not knowing to whom or about what until it comes to him......
Blackthorn,
I know the events of late have been stressful and I wish you to know that should my services be needed or those of my men they will be gladly given into your command. All are good men and have my complete trust. And know my friend that you are not alone and do not have to take this all upon yourself.
Yours in honor and deed, Lord Corwin
With the words flowing freely now he takes a second piece of paper.....
My Lady Jolieve,
I know things have been difficult as of late between you and Lord BlackHawke, But I feel in my heart that you have no need to feel his silence is a statement that he does not love you. Actually I feel certain he in fact does love you and perhaps he does not want to worry you or put you in danger. I know that this is not your way and that you would rather fight at his side but have faith that he does have a reason. You must stand by your faith no matter how far it is strained. I worry for you as I would a friend, a knight, and a sister. I wish I could make it easier for you but I know you have the strength to get
through this.
Yours in honor and deed, Lord Corwin
Corwin rolls the letters up, drips some wax on each and presses his signet ring to each. He rises and go to his door where the guard is standing vigil." take this to my fastest courier...Nae, ask Rohan to take them himself. He is to give them to Blackthorn and Jolieve and NO ONE else. Understood?" The guard acknowledges him and hurries off to find Rohan.
Corwin goes back to his desk and picks up his tea. " I hope my feelings to be true on this. They are good people and I care for them as I would my own blood". He takes a deep swallow of tea and turns back to look at the stars.
