Born on the Island she was named after, the daughter of an Irish cheiftain and his wife. Dubhdara O'Malley and his wife were a bit surprised to have received a daughter first, but soon found the flame haired girl to be every bit as spirited as the six boys who followed soon after,... and more intelligent to boot.

Gifted as an archer and dagger thrower, Skye spent many happy days hunting, and scampering about the woods, her unruly curls braided down her back. Her father used to laugh when she'd come in mussed, and filthy, but smiling, as she presented her mother a brace of rabbit, or perhaps pheasant, goose, or duck for dinner. "Skye girl...ye dinnae hae to feed us every night" would be his reply, but the twinkle in his sapphire eyes told Skye that her Da was proud of her.

Skye spent some time abroad in a boarding school for young ladies, Ma saying she needed a bit of polish about the rough edges. She expected to hate it, but instead excelled in everything from riding, to archery, to music. Unfortunately for her, stitchery was the thorn in her side, along with mastering the patience to sit still for very long. When she returned home, Skye spent her days much the same as she had before she left... except climbing trees was no longer an option daily.

Her world came collapsing down upon her when her beloved father was killed in a minor clash with another clan. No one expected violence, least of all Dubdhara O'Malley, but an archer had other plans. Dubdhara lived long enough to name Skye clan leader... although she wasn't sure she wanted the responsibility... she was but seventeen. All her Da said was he and the clan needed her and that none of the boys were ready. As Skye slipped the signet ring upon her finger, Dubhdara died. They had but put him in the ground four days earlier when Skye disappeared, kidnapped by a rival clan, who had designs upon the O'Malley hold. At this, her brother Michael showed his mettle, and his maturity, accepting the O'Malley and driving the O'Donnell clan out. He and his brothers, along with their gifted younger sister, Aidan then set out upon searches for their missing sister. Unknown to all, Skye was dropped and left for dead or worse in the Scots Highlands... upon meeting the Lord who's land she had been left upon, and hearing her choices... slavery and bondage... death... or the life of a prostitute... Skye chanced it... and ran. How long, and how far she couldn't remember, but she ended up in a magical place, called Camelot.

Quickly making friends, and providing herself useful on quests, Skye made a life for herself, and met Cedric Pendathan. They married, and as Skye got word that she was breeding, Cedric left on Crusade. When their daughter was born she named the baby Arista, and when Ari was but two months old, Cedric's sword was sent home. Cedric was dead, and she and Arista were alone to defend Cedric's keep, and Ari's inheritance... the Castle Illian. Once again a land dispute and Fate stepped in to steer Skye's course. An evil Baron to the north coveted the keep, and after Skye turned down his marriage proposal, the Baron sent assassins after the Lady^Skye. Captured, beaten and left for dead, the assassins thought they had completed the job... they were wrong. Skye collapsed inside the great firehall at Camelot, and into the arms of Ian Blackthorn.

Blackthorn and Skye were married, and Skye has opened her heart and her life to Shane, Ian's son by birth, and hers by choice. She is firmly convinced that Ian is her soulmate... they are united through soulbond and that Fate has brought them back together at last.

Skye is quick to temper, and deadly with her bow and arrows, but her heart is good. She would rather fix than fight, although arguing seems to come as easily to her as breathing. She still possesses that same unruly red-gold mass of curling hair, and is forever threatening Ian that she is to cut it off... and go shorn like the Monks. Passionate about those she loves... not overly tolerant to those she hates, but a deeply a good person willing to risk life and limb for love of her family and friends.
