I like to take pictures of astronomical events. Not pictures of the sky, but pictures of people, telescopes, and happenings on the ground. For me, good friends are just as important as dark skies during a star party; and friends can be counted on a lot more than the weather.

There's nothing better than waiting for the evening twilight to end, listening to the murmurs and watching the shadows of figures as they leisurely prepare their telescopes for the coming darkness. Enjoying a cold one in my lounge chair, I can't help thinking how lucky I am to be there, among my friends and under the stars.
