Yo Doc,

I remember back in the good ole days that light waves moved around in that ether stuff. Now with the modernization and improvements of 'most everything, they don't use the stuff anymore. What happened to all that ether??? Was there a big "ether going outta business sale"???

THE MOUSE

Dear Mouse,

Ether, as we know it, has been used since the beginnings of Science. First located in the so-called "Ether Ore" by Dr. M. Buber, ether has been a mainstay in most Scientific experiments. Although it was discovered that ether did not make light wave, it was proven conclusively that it did make light seem to waver.

Further research by etherologists uncovered the susceptibility to ether increased linearly with the breeding urge of the species. This was termed the Ether Bunny Effect.

Dr. Hunter S. Thompson said it most succinctly in his magnum opiate, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, "There is nothing more helpless or depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge."

Etherically yours,
Dr. Nucleus
