In Harmony (a ghazal for L.H.)
Look to the sky and see the stars in harmony:
our Venus trines with springtide Moon in harmony.
What is that noise upon the roof; the crack of doom?
The drunkard sings his holy tune in harmony.
Get my guitar and tune your lute; the night is high;
one string is struck, the others croon in harmony.
Electrons dance in endless light on spiral paths:
delight dissolves discord so soon in harmony.
If I should take this dream into eternity,
put these few words upon my tomb: In Harmony.
This tapestry outlives the Weaver's halting touch;
its skein was warped on stoutest loom in harmony.
