Tanka & Haiku
White moonlight
falling on San Luis bay
freezes summer sea:
heart's inland ocean
stops in glance's strobe.
Dark and light patches,
Rolling waves on verdant ground:
Cloud shadows on hills!
Through fog's torn curtain
Vagrant summer breezes whisk:
Seal Rock's here and gone!
Iridium Satellite Launch
Milk trail through dusk sky;
Star-fire finger draws up, up!
Jade hills gasp in awe.
our butcher shop:
rich verse trimmed to order
lean words mean more
tears stir coals
sparks rise heavenward:
fireflies
Life's fleeting moment
like a snowman in the rain:
thoughts too deep for tears.
In autumn pool
moon's lantern falls:
ape dives to rescue
