It's our 10th Anniversary!
Saturday, November 8, 2014 | 9:30 AM | ~50 miles | Registration Morning of Ride
North Greenville University Athletic Parking Lot - Tigerville, SC
Breathe in some fresh, crisp, fall air as you enjoy the beautiful mountain color of Upstate SC. Enjoy breathtaking views of the rarely seen north side of Table Rock Mt. Enjoy lunch at Aunt Sue's Country Corner (the turnaround point) on Hwy 11. Take time on the way back to enjoy a FREE, Upstate famous, hand mixed, old fashoned milkshake*, courtesy of the Greenville Spinners at Slater Drug Store in Marietta, SC.
The 10th Annual Leaf Tour Ride ride is scheduled to "leave" from Tigerville, SC at 9:30 AM, Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014. Registration is the morning of the event, starting at 8:30AM. For the 10th anniversary ride we have tweaked the route some. Part of the new route (N. River Rd) follows the course of the 1996 Tour Dupont ride that had many famous pro riders participate, including the lesser known at the time Lance Armstrong (first Tour de France win was 1999). Check out the new route at the link below. You can also get a route file off Garmin Connect below.
This relaxed pace ride welcomes ALL cyclists and is a FREE event for Greenville Spinners members, all others we suggest a donation of $10 to the Greenville Spinners Safety Fundation that provides bicycle safety talks and free helmets to elementary school children. Don't forget to bring money for your lunch at Aunt Sue's. We will have a SAG vehicle running the marked route but ask that you prepare for a self sufficient ride (i.e. pack patches, tubes, tools and snacks).
Thanks to the Greenville Spinners bike club for sponsoring this event! This is one of the major events we hold for Spinners Members!

The FREE hand dipped milkshakes at Slater Drug Store are the best in the area!
*Old Fashioned Milkshakes with Milk - Unfortunately, today's milkshake is barely recognizable compared to those of the middle of the century. Most come from McDonald's, Wendy's or Starbucks where they are all individually "branded" to make it clear that milk is a minor player. (Think Frosty & Frappuccino.) Instead they are full of nonfat milk solids, corn syrup solids, guar gum, dextrose, cellulose gum, and vanillan. Give us simple ice cream, a handful of berries or a teaspoonful of vanilla, and a nice pull from the milk machine.
Now that's the milkshake you get on the Leaf Tour!
