The Voice of Music AM/FM Tuner - Early Solid State, $69

Voice of Music was a U.S. family owned company that was located in Benton Harbor, MI. and manufactured a range of audio products in the late 1940's through 1970's. After bankrupcy in 1977 V-M Audio Enthusiasts came to the rescue and operates a website supporting and offering info. about all the great V-M products! Here is a early solid state The Voice of Music Model 20230 AM/FM tuner. It has a 60's look and the build looks like a tube chassis adapted to solid state (copper plated shielding, open backs etc.). I was able to tune in both AM and FM stations. However, I'm not sure the FM Stereo setting is coming through in in stereo. There are three FM settings: FM, FM AFC, FM Stereo. The stereo lamp doesn't light but may just be out. I replaced both dial lamps to get the face lit up again.

This example is excellent cosmetic condition. Super shiny and clean front face. The piece has been cleaned inside and out. It doesn't appear this piece was ever worked on. From the age (my guess is 60's) I'm sure come capacitors might be getting a little dry. The unit does function. Check the images, the cosmetics are great!

If you like vintage solid state don't forget to check out the matching amplifier I'm also selling. The image below show both together. This piece is offered at only $69. No extra charge for safe packing (12lbs net, 16lbs gross wt.)
