Stanton C.304

The C.304 is Stanton's first tabletop CD player with vinyl-like control. Using a newly developed touch-sensitive jogwheel, DJs can perform realistic scratching, backspins and beat juggling effects with true vinyl response and feel. And unlike many other CD players on the market, the C.304 includes eight high-quality DSP effects that can be automatically synchronized to BPM. Add effects like Filter, Delay and Flange right from the CD player while choosing from several note values for synchronization. The C.304 also features Key Lock, seamless looping and hot cues, plus the ability to sequence up to four user samples. The C.304's large LCD display and DJ-friendly design make it very easy to use, while Stanton's rock-solid engineering ensures maximum reliability. This is a 2RU, dual channel device that condenses all commonly-used EQ functions into one unit, and adds a couple of new ones that are pure KT magic! In one device, you now have access to: a dual 31-band multi-mode graphic equaliser: a dual 12-band parametric equaliser: four configurable filters per channel: up to 1s of delay per channel: and two ‘T-DEQ’ filters, which simply redefine realtime dynamic control. Quite different from frequency-conscious compression, T-DEQ allows the user to dynamically control the amplitude of a given frequency when it reaches programmed upper and lower levels. This unique function has myriad uses, in all sound reinforcement applications. Like all DSP devices from KT, there is more than enough processing power to allow all functions to be active all the time, so you’ll never have to choose a less than ideal solution.

What makes a PowerMate a PowerMate?

All the function groups of the PowerMate are 100% professional in terms of their design and specification. First comes the mixing section, where you will find high-quality, discrete microphone preamps, new, dustproof ALPS faders (specially developed for the PowerMate) with very high attenuation even in the HF range, 48V phantom power switchable to the channels in groups of six and a dynamic range that would put most dedicated professional mixers to shame. AUX 3+4 are separately switchable pre/post fader. Then come the ultra-efficient Class H power amplifiers, which now deliver 2 x 700 W into 4 Ohms (PM 1000 and 1600). They are equipped with dynamic limiters, an extensive range of protections and the patented LPN filter for clearly improved bass performance. Finally in the effects section, the two digital effects processors offer 99 studio quality presets each and are individually foot-switchable.

On top of these, there are many other useful features designed to solve special problems, such as the two feedback filters, the vocal voicing filter and the standby switch.
