How or where might Darcy and Bingley have met? Why are they friends –
what do they have in common that would lead them to become friends?
Why would Lady Catherine choose Mr. Collins for the living at Hunsford?
How old is Anne de Bourgh?
What county might the militia encamped in Meryton have come from (Austen
refers to it as the ____shire militia)? How did Wickham get his commission
in the militia?
Why was Darcy at Wickham’s wedding?
Why doesn’t Mr. Bennet encourage Mr. Collins in his addresses to
his eligible daughters, and if not Elizabeth, then why not Mary?
How did Lady Catherine de Bourgh learn about the possibility of Darcy
and Elizabeth marrying?
Why does Mr. Bennet advise Mr. Collins to ‘stand by the nephew’?

below). This meeting is free and open to all.

Directions
to Vestavia Library: From I-65 in Birmingham, take exit 252 (Hoover-Vestavia
exit, also U.S. 31-Montgomery Highway exit.) The library is about 2 miles
north on U.S. 31, just past the Vestavia Civic Center, on the left. It
is the "Vestavia Hills Public Library." The meeting room is
on the second floor.
