Greetings!

The Lake Superior shard was transferred to temporary hardware on October 4, 2000. In light of the issues affecting Lake Superior due to these circumstances, we have been automatically refreshing all houses on the shard, beginning October 10th, until further notice.

While the shard resides on this temporary hardware, you may experience brief periods of time where logins, recalling, gating, facet gating, and crossing server boundaries seem to be disabled. These features are not disabled; they are simply delayed while the server is processing other information. Please allow at least 30 minutes for this clear up when it does occur.

For the latest updates on the status of Lake Superior, please check the Shard Issues page of our web site at http://support.uo.com/s_issue.html. You might also find additional information as it becomes available on the Connectivity message board at http://boards.uo.com.

The new hardware for Lake Superior has arrived and is now being configured. Barring any unforseen difficulties, Lake Superior should be up and running on its new hardware within a few days.
