The kitchen is exceptionally bright and cheerful with panoramic views of the ocean and hills from every location. The Cabinets are flush framed and made of rustic knotty alder capped with granite. The Thermador 5 burner gas stove top & spacious island area, affords plenty of seating and working room, and as usual… becomes the focal point for gatherings and creative cooking. Floors are hand hewn and pegged. Sinks and appliances are stainless steel. The oven, microwave, and warming drawer are by Thermador. The refrigerator is by KitchenAid, and the dishwasher is by Bosch. Plumbing fixtures are oil rubbed bronze. Beautiful wrought iron, hand forged in the blacksmith shop on site, abounds throughout.

This serene view from the kitchen sink overlooks the knoll and faces East. The sun rises over the knoll and the distant hills. Sunrises are breathtaking and inspire the new day. The knoll, situated atop the highest point on this bluff, over looks the ocean, and surrounding hills, and is a wonderfully tranquil retreat to garden, read, or relax. Native Oaks, flowering plants, and groundcover require little if any maintenance. An outside wood-burning fireplace on a patio, situated between the kitchen and knoll, makes a perfect retreat for daytime or evening dining and relaxing.

The master chef can also enjoy beautiful ocean views right from the main cooking area of the kitchen. The formal dining room, with inspiring views of the bay, and its elegant Spanish Colonial chandelier, table, and chairs, brings you back to the true Mission days of Old Port San Luis.
