WELCOME ABOARD ASH BURIALS AT SEA
When
a loved one passes on, there can be nothing more noble than to honor a
wish for burial at sea. What better way to put one to rest in an
environment which they loved so much. To remember them for the way
they loved spending time by the seashore or cruising Narragansett Bay.
The world’s ocean are the final resting place to countless
generations From
our base in Warwick Cove on Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, Bay Maritime Services
travels offshore about one and half hours from our dock for private ash scattering
by our licensed Captain. The area that we travel to is offshore
and can be viewed from three different lighthouses where you are able to
visit year 'round. The lighthouses are Castle Hill in Newport, RI,
Beavertail in Jamestown, RI, and Point Judith in Narragansett, RI.

Bay Maritime Services provides a beautiful 8 ½" X 11" burial certificate recording date and exact location of the service. The certificate includes the Captain's signature and is suitable for framing. Click here to view a sample. Choose from one of three light houses for your certificate. Cremation
and scattering of ashes at sea has been a tradition for thousands of
years. Pet cremation and delivery to the sea is becoming increasingly popular tradition among pet lovers. Bay Maritime Services offers the same ash scattering services for your family animal. ATTENDED SERVICES (max. 6 passengers) Up
to six family and friends may attend the reading and delivery to the
sea. The Captain will perform a maritimereading, which may be
customized to your specific wishes. Friends and family may
participate, if they desire. Pleasurable
memories will remain with you long after the service is over. Since
the exact location is recorded, families may return for memorial
services. Note:
Those attending services at sea should take precautions if they are
susceptible to motion sickness. See Policies
for general information regarding motion sickness and what to wear. See Rate Page for prices and options for Attended Services. UNATTENDED
SERVICES Family and friends do not accompany the cremated remains aboard the vessel to the dispersal site. The Captain will conduct the scattering in a dignified and respectful manner, traveling to an offshore location to perform the reading in conjunction with the scattering.
